We explored how lactic acid bacteria (LAB) can combat the harmful effects of Candida albicans, the fungus responsible for yeast infections. Through our study, we found that the supernatant from LAB like Lactobacillus crispatus and L. gasseri effectively inhibited the growth and harmful activity of C. albicans.

It's a hard battle, where you can't eat your favourite foods like cheese and sugar for months. After years of battling oral thrush, I thought of giving yoghurt a try. WOW. Novel yeast infection treatment studied
We examined a new treatment, VAGINNE, derived from beneficial species to tackle vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC). Using a mouse model, we observed that VAGINNE improved the balance of the vaginal microbiome while reducing harmful yeast growth.

Additionally, it lowered inflammatory markers in both vaginal tissue and blood, suggesting an anti-inflammatory effect. Our histological analysis showed better tissue integrity in treated mice compared to those without treatment.

If you deal with constipation or diarrhoea, this product addresses the root of the issue. It's also beneficial in managing yeast infections and normalising pH levels after antibiotics. I have used it with my kids, blending it with almond milk, and found it to be effective at keeping them healthy. Great product at a reasonable price.

We explored the potential of Lactobacillus plantarum P 17630 as a treatment for vaginal yeast infections compared to traditional antifungal therapy with miconazole.

In our evaluation, we included 200 women and measured symptoms through a visual scale. Both treatments significantly reduced symptoms over time, showing no major difference in effectiveness. Despite this, Lactobacillus capsules may present a safer option without the risk of antifungal resistance and could help maintain healthy vaginal flora.

Lactobacillus and plant extract synergy
We explored the effectiveness of lactobacillus cultures combined with plant extracts against vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC), a common cause of vaginal discharge in women. Among 600 lactic acid bacteria isolates, several showed potent antifungal properties. Notably, two specific strains combined with Jerusalem artichoke extract demonstrated remarkable abilities to inhibit yeast growth and biofilm formation. These findings suggest that this unique combination may serve as valuable ingredients in future vaginal therapeutic products aimed at treating infections.
